The 2nd Women in Finance & Investment Awards seek to accelerate the pace of change towards a more diverse and inclusive Finance & Investment Industry.
The awards are open to firms operating in Ghana’s Finance & Investment landscape. Nominees can be involved in roles including but not limited to fund management, wealth management, investment research, financial advisory, investment analysis, ESG Investing, brokers, pension funds and several other roles.
2nd Deputy Governor, Bank of Ghana
Ms. Elsie Addo Awadzi is a legal, governance, and international finance professional with 25 years of experience working in Ghana and internationally. Mrs. Addo Awadzi combines work experience from the public and private sectors as well as from international organizations. She has advised a variety of businesses, investors, venture capital and private equity funds, and country authorities on a wide range of transactions, policies, laws, and institutional reforms.
She is currently the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, following her appointment by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana in February 2018. She is the second woman to occupy the Office of Deputy Governor in the Bank of Ghana’s 64-year history. She is also a member of the 13-member Board of Directors of the Bank of Ghana, and a member of the Bank’s 7-member Monetary Policy Committee.

Charlotte Lily Baidoo, CGIA, is currently the Head of SME at UMB Bank Ghana Limited.
She has established herself as a professional and an astute Credit Expert with international exposure. Charlotte worked as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of First Trust Savings & Loans, Chief Operating Officer of Ideal Finance Ltd, and was a one-time General Manager of Express Savings & Loans Limited.

Sylvia Inkoom is a strongly motivated and driven leader, and a natural salesperson with a wealth of experience in client management, product design, and development. Highly skilled in positively influencing decisions and people and demonstrates an immense understanding of the increasingly sophisticated needs of medium and large corporations in emerging markets. Sylvia has 17 years’ experience in the Banking Sector.
She holds a Certificate in Corporate Finance from the London School of Economics as well as a Certificate in Client Strategic Management from the University of Cape Town. Sylvia also holds a BSc and an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School.
Chief Risk Officer, Bank of Africa
Akofa is currently the Chief Risk Officer and a member of the Executive Committee of the Bank of Africa. She is also a Non-Executive Director and Chairperson of the board of Savvy Securities Ghana Ltd. She has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry and her expertise includes Enterprise Risk Management, Liquidity & Investments Management, Financial and Economic Analysis, Asset, and Liability Management, and Financial Markets Trading.
Akofa has contributed to the deepening of financial and economic knowledge in Ghana, having published some articles in the Ghanaian dailies on topical economic issues and been part of several webinars.

NIMED Capital Limited (“NIMED”) is a wholly-owned Ghanaian business with a drive to provide top-notched corporate finance and investment banking services to Africa and beyond.
As a financial analyst and a banker by profession, she holds an MBA in General Management from the University of East London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities from the University of Ghana, Legon.
