Ghana Women in Finance & Investment Awards 2021 announced.
CGIA Institute is hosting the 2nd Women in Finance & Investment Summit (WIFIS 2021), the leading platform to inspire the next generation for diversity and inclusive conversations and partnerships in the finance & investment management industry.
“This year’s Summit will feature the Ghana Women in Finance & Investment Awards.
The Awards seek to accelerate the pace of change towards a more diverse and inclusive Finance & Investment Industry.
The awards are open to firms operating in Ghana’s Finance & Investment landscape. Nominees can be involved in roles including but not limited to fund management, wealth management, investment research, financial advisory, investment analysis, ESG Investing, brokers, pension funds and several other roles.
The awards night will be a thrilling evening of celebrating female leaders who are innovatively driving change and ethically shaping the Finance & Investment Industry in exceptional ways.
This year’s Ghana Women in Finance & Investment Awards has seven (7) categories as follows:
- INVESTMENT ANALYST OF THE YEAR (FEMALE)
The Judges are looking for a female investment analyst, who despite the turbulence caused by covid-19, has been able to utilize her expertise as analyst to navigate through this remarkably challenging period and have made noticeable impact.
- FUND MANAGER OF THE YEAR (FEMALE)
This award recognizes female fund managers who have consistently demonstrated strong performance for investors, weathered the storms caused by covid-19 and have the potential to outperform in the future.
- CONTRIBUTION TO DIVERSITY & INCLUSION AWARD
The judges are looking for an organization who recognizes the strategic value of diversity and inclusion across its business (stakeholders, employees & customers) and have gone beyond formulaic adherence to demonstrating unrivalled commitment to its promotion and implementation.
- INSURANCE LEADER OF THE YEAR (FEMALE)
This award recognizes the contributions of an outstanding individual, whose wealth of knowledge, experience and leadership in insurance and financial services industry sets her apart from her contemporaries.
- WEALTH MANAGER OF THE YEAR (FEMALE)
This award recognizes the standout wealth manager who has achieved outstanding returns while championing financial inclusivity.
- SUSTAINABLE & ESG INVESTMENT WOMAN OF THE YEAR
This award is designed to recognize innovation and talent in ESG across the investment sector. Highlighting exemplary leadership and accountability, in order to raise standards of responsible investment.
- FINANCE & INVESTMENT WOMAN OF THE YEAR
This award will be open to women holding senior roles in Ghana’s Finance & Investment Industry at C-Suite level. The Judges are looking for a female leader who has demonstrated outstanding leadership (both personally and professionally) in revolutionizing the culture of financial services, either through defining new standards, launching a key technology initiative, or driving a regulatory-related change that benefits the industry.
